This keto broccoli cheddar cheese soup recipe is one of my favorites for a good low carb comfort soup.  Who doesn’t like a creamy, cheesy and flavorful bowl of hot keto broccoli cheddar cheese soup, this is a must try! The result will be your family will love it! This keto broccoli cheddar cheese soup is perfect with a fresh salad, or as a side with your choice of a healthy main dish.  Its flavors compliment almost any meal.  

Keto Broccoli Cheddar Cheese Soup Recipe

  • Servings: 6
  • Difficulty: easy

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 8 cups broccoli florets
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Melt butter in soup pot and add garlic and onion.
  2. Saute until translucent.
  3. Add broccoli florets and chicken broth and simmer until broccoli is soft enough to easily poke with a fork.
  4. Ladle the soup into a blender and blend.
  5. Pour back into the soup pot and add cream and cheese and salt if needed. Voila!

I got this from Naomi Whittel’s Autopha-Tea

Ingredients

  • 8 oz of water
  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1 Earl Gray black tea bag
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Stevia, erythritol, or monk fruit to taste
  • 1 Tbs cream (optional)

Directions

  1. Boil water
  2. Add green tea Earl Gray black tea bags
  3. Steep for 4 mins
  4. Remove bags
  5. Add coconut oil and cinnamon
  6. Sweeten with stevia, erythritol, or monk fruit
  7. I like to add cream (optional)

Keto Mock Omelet Recipe – Keto Mamas – Good for you!

Keto Mock Omelet - Sunny-side up eggs garnished with avocado, tomatoes, green onion and bacon bits

Ok lets face it, eggs are the universal food for all meals, all seasons and all holidays.  When all else fails, make eggs! I have made plenty of actual omelets, but if you don’t want to oxygenate the yolks, just make sunny-side up eggs and add your choice of omelet toppings. This keto mock omelet recipe is low carb, super easy, healthy and delicious!

Keto Mock Omelet Recipe

  • Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • Salt
  • Cheese if desired
  • Any combination of veggies: spinach, chard, kale, broccoli, onions/green onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and fresh herbs like basil, cilantro, etc.
  • Avocados
  • Crispy bacon crumbles (optional)

Directions

  1. Saute vegetables, except avocado, in butter or favorite healthy oil, adding the delicate veggies like green onions, tomatoes and fresh herbs last minute to warm them through.
  2. Crack eggs into the pan leaving yolks in-tact and give each egg a shake of salt and add cheese on top of eggs if desired.
  3. When egg whites turn opaque, take the pan off the burner and put the pan under the broiler, leaving the handle sticking out of the oven, to finish cooking the tops of the eggs and melt the cheese.
  4. Serve the eggs by placing individual servings on a plate and top with the sautéed veggies, fresh avocado slices and bacon crumbles.

Keto Lemonade Recipe – Keto Mamas – Good for you!

Keto lemonade is a staple at our house because it is super healthy, cleansing and absolutely delicious. This recipe includes a pinch of the highest quality natural sea salt on earth; pink Himalayn.  Adding a little sea salt transforms this keto lemonade beverage into a super drink, replenishing your electrolytes.

Here is just a little information about the value of electrolyte replenishment.  Electrolytes are chemicals that form electrically charged particles (ions) in body fluids. These ions carry the electrical energy necessary for many biological functions, including muscle contractions and the transmission of nerve impulses. Additionally, electrolytes play an important role in regulating the flow of water in and out of cells, and sparking nerve impulses. 

If you are going be healthy and sustain a keto diet, you have to get away from sugar drinks; soda pop and fruit juices.  Try substituting these unhealthy carbonated and blood sugar spiking drinks with a healthy and fresh glass of keto lemonade.  I promise, you will be glad you did!

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh lemon or 2 fresh limes
  • 2 to 4 cups water (depending how strong you like it)
  • Sweeten to taste with stevia/erythritol or monk fruit
  • Pinch of sea salt or pink Himalayan salt (helps replenish your electrolytes)
  • 1 cup ice

Directions

  1. Peel the lemon or cut off the peels of the limes and put them in the blender
  2. Add sweetener
  3. Add sea salt (optional)
  4. Blend until ice and pulp are fine

  • 1 Cup Organic brewed coffee
  • 1 Tbs Cream, MCT oil, coconut oil or grass-fed butter
  • 1/2 tsp Stevia

Pero or Postum:

  • 1 Tbs Pero or Postum power
  • 1 Tbs Cream MCT oil, coconut oil or grass-fed butter
  • 1/2 tsp Stevia

Directions


Coffee:

  1. Brew coffee as usual
  2. Add cream or MCT oil, coconut oil or grass-fed butter to taste
  3. Sweeten to taste with stevia, erythritol or monk fruit (I choose these sweeteners because they have no impact on blood sugar levels).

Pero or Postum:

  1. Add Pero or Postum powder to a cup of hot water
  2. Add cream or MCT oil, coconut oil or grass-fed butter to taste
  3. Sweeten to taste with stevia, erythritol or monk fruit
